My name is Gabe Hitz and I am from Santa Claus, Indiana. I am currently a sophomore at Western Kentucky University studying accounting. Go Tops!

I first heard about Bike4Alz back in my small hometown of Santa Claus when talking to a family friend. Once I got to campus and learned more about the organization, I knew that I wanted to be a part of a group that can impact the lives of countless families in an unorthodox, unique way. By listening to the stories of previous ride members, I could tell immediately how special Bike4Alz is and how it could not only change my life, but the life of those we would come across on the ride. Preparing for the ride for the past 6 months has only made me more excited for this summer.

I am riding to give support to families who suffer from Alzheimer’s disease. Much like my family has been supported during tough times, I am blessed and honored to reciprocate that action to countless people across the country. I ride to strive to save those memories that we hold so dear, and so that they may never be stripped away from us. I ride coast to coast to end Alzheimer’s disease.
