Hi Friends! My name’s Adam Moore, and I'm from Louisville, Kentucky. I'm a sophomore at Western Kentucky University studying Psychology. (I may add another major in Communications too, but we’ll see).

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to join the Bike4Alz team this year. I've worked at an assisted living center in Louisville for nearly three years now and have formed very close relationships with many of the residents there. Unfortunately, the reality of working at such a place is the time with many of my favorite folks is limited. I have seen first hand the devastation that Alzheimer’s brings -- devastating husbands and wives who have to watch their spouse suffer and children who have no guarantee their parents will remember them from day to day.

The lady I’m probably closest to at work is Ms. Spinosa. She is 96 years old and took care of her husband with Alzheimer’s for years until he passed away a couple years ago. Ms. Spinosa is the sweetest lady I've ever met, and it hurts me to think of the physical and mental toll it must have taken on her to see her husband lose his memories. This summer, I ride for Joe and Louise Spinosa and for memories that should last forever.
