Nick Lee

Hello! My name is Nick Lee, and I’m from Nicholasville, Kentucky. I’m a sophomore at Western Kentucky University majoring in Architectural Science. After my undergraduate studies, I plan on getting my Masters in Architecture and pursue a career as a designer.

I had heard of Bike4Alz when I first came to Western, but it seemed like such a foreign concept. I constantly wondered, “How can these guys just get on bikes and ride across the United States?” After getting to talk to previous riders and seeing the impact that Bike4Alz had on all of them, I was amazed by their stories. It still felt so out of reach for me, but thankfully I was fortunate enough to get a spot on Team 9 as a support driver. I am truly blessed to be a part of this team and to get the opportunity of a lifetime to not only spend 10 weeks traveling across the country with a group of amazing men, but to also make a lasting positive impact on people’s lives.

My family has been fortunate enough to not have lost anyone to this awful disease. However, with my mother being a neurologist, it is hard not to be humbled by this disease and the impact it has. It holds no prejudices and has affected the lives of millions. I am a part of Team 9 to honor those who have lost loved ones and whose families have been affected by this disease.
