Jace Lancaster

Hello, everyone! My name is Jace Lancaster and Iā€™m a junior from Somerset, Kentucky, studying Marketing with a focus in sales at Western Kentucky University.

I first heard of Bike4Alz actually way back around 2014 when my great friend and past rider Taylor Ruby began his journey across the country. Although his trip ended short due to an injury, seeing the lasting effects this had on him and the community is what pushed me to join. Once I came to Western the fire was then rekindled and I was lucky enough to be chosen for this year's ride. Alzhiemers is a disease that in one way or another affects everyone, and is continuing to grow each day. I am beyond humbled to be chosen to represent this group and bring light to the fight against Alzheimers, so that more people join in to help stop this horrific disease.

Memories are some of the most valuable things an individual holds on to. They make you who you are, they allow you to remember the good times, and learn from the bad. This summer I will be riding for those who lost those memories due to this devastating disease. I am looking forward to hearing the stories of those affected by this and the memories they have of their loved ones. Any day on a bike will never compare to any day battling Alzheimers.
