Hello! My name is Jake York, and I am currently at sophomore at Western Kentucky University majoring in Marketing. I am from Shelbyville, Kentucky, after college I plan to pursue a career as a market research analyst.

I first heard about Bike4Alz when going through recruitment during my freshman year. I remember coming to the house and seeing the map in the study room. Talking to past riders about their experience really inspired me. Doing Dance Big Red in the spring opened my eyes to people going through everyday struggles
due to illness. Sometimes I do not realize how lucky I am. remember leaving Preston Center that next morning and being grateful I could be a part of such an amazing experience.

My Grandma, Mary Ann Taylor, passed away from Alzheimer’s when I was 6 years old. Seeing her go through this was very tough on our family. I am not only riding for her, but everyone who has gone through this terrible disease. Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in the U.S. I am honored to be able to be a part of this ride and help find a cure to #EndAlz.
