Reed Marple

Hey everyone, my name is Reed Marple. I am currently a sophomore at Western Kentucky University with a major in Marketing and a concentration in Sales. I am originally from the small town of Waverly, Kentucky and my family and I moved to Bowling Green in 2016.

I first heard of Bike4Alz in the spring of 2022, when I joined FIJI and met many of the riders of Team 9. Of course, at first, I had only heard the great experiences and memories made by past riders, and this piqued my interest. I began hearing more about Team 10’s ride over the summer of 2022, and knew this was something I personally wanted to experience. I bought a bicycle that summer and was lucky enough to be on this year's team.

When I applied, I didn’t quite understand the impact or importance of what Bike4Alz is doing for those affected by Alzheimer’s. I soon found a great passion for ending Alzheimer's. I know that I won’t be able to do this alone, but I do know that I’m gonna fight against Alzheimer’s not only this summer, but in the many years to come. God has put this opportunity in front of me and my team, and I’m fully prepared to glorify him and bring Alzheimer’s to an end.
